Between monday 10/27/2014, and Tuesday 10/28/2014 a security protocol used to protect mail servers from forced entry was enacted. The server self-protected itself, and it took us sometime to figure out what exactly happen. We have resolved the issue, and emails should be sending as they were. Please note, during this outage we used it as an oppurtunity to finish connecting all Virtual Cloud Nodes into the zimbra cluster.(Instead of doing a planned maintence in the future.) This has resolved any chances of this happening again, for a entire cluster to go offline would take a very large attack. We have also finished the deployment of our Arbor Networks Prevail Network Security Intelligence Appliance. This dedicated device is designed to detect and mitigate any Distributed Denial Of Service attacks or other common botnet based attacks. This further increases our ability to offer the most secure products we have ever offered.
